Our peaceful location in rural Wiltshire ensures that we are part of our local community as well as the international community of professional drivers.

We provide a home from home for drivers and a vital shop and friendly meeting place for locals.

Giving is Our Culture

Giving is central to our culture at Chippenham Pit Stop. Each year we donate to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and we also give back to our local schools wherever we can.

We also take part in Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) scheme. That means for every Co-op or Nisa Heritage branded produce we sell, a portion of the price goes to local causes. If you know of a local charity or project that could do with our help, get in touch.

Community involvement is important to us

Being generous with our time is also vital. Whether is it offering work experience to local students, or sponsoring local teams, we love being an active part of our thriving local community.

Driver Wellbeing

Driver wellbeing is at the forefront of our vision at Chippenham Pit Stop and we’re always working to understand the needs of our drivers.

Driving all day long can take its toll on general wellbeing so when you stop with us we want you to have a chance to invest in your own health.

So not only do we have healthy eating options and the free use of our outside gym, but we also undertake monthly health awareness campaigns to reflect potential issues that may affect you.

You take care of the driving, we’ll take care of you.

We’ve teamed up with Cotswold Medicals and D4 Driver Medicals to make sure you can keep on top of your health while you’re on the road. They both run busy evening clinics at the Pit Stop, you’ll need to book with them direct.

We really care about the impact our business has on the environment

All of our waste gets sorted and recycled, nothing goes to landfill from here!

Our solar power installations mean we don’t depend on gas as an energy source

We have converted our kitchen equipment to run on electric, and this comes from our solar panels where possible

High-speed Electric Vehicle Charging Station

With more and more motorists driving electric cars, we have installed the first IONITY high speed chargers on the M4.

Reducing Plastic Usage

We are constantly evaluating our use of plastic too. All of our sandwich wrappers are made from recycled vegetable matter, straws are paper and take away cutlery is made from wood.

We’ve achieved zero to landfill.

Water Conservation

We’ve installed waterless urinals to reduce water usage.

We’re proud to be part of the Refill Revolution

We have been part of the Refill Revolution since 2018 providing our customers with free water refills and peace of mind. Chippenham Pit Stop is now amongst 20,000 UK businesses who have embraced the Refill Revolution.

Really well stocked shop

“Half way between Cardiff and Oxford stopped here to charge the car using their ultra fast chargers. In the 30 minutes needed to get the car to 80% managed a toilet stop, coffee and cake. Really well stocked shop, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Both times found a charger available and didn’t have to wait.“
